PlaceMKR Team Spotlight - Jason Kim

Growing up in New Jersey, Jason never imagined he'd be shaping Texas real estate. But after moving to Austin for University, his involvement with UT's Undergraduate Real Estate Center at McCombs sparked a passion for community-focused development.

At PlaceMKR, Jason has had the opportunity to work across both the investment and development sides of the business, giving him exposure to the different stages of a deal, from underwriting and diligence to execution and long-term value creation.

"It's about going beyond the numbers to understand what makes a place special," Jason says of PlaceMKR's investment philosophy. "We create spaces that align with the culture and needs of the area."

When not evaluating properties, Jason explores Austin's food scene or starts his day with coffee at Figure 8. On weekends, you might find him hitting the Town Lake trail or celebrating team wins at Comedy Mothership.
